Fun bit of TV trivia: SCTV’s Gus Gustofferson is based on Joseph Franks

SCTV has a history intertwined with the motorcycle club world; I’ve received more information through channeling that will be shared later. (You could call them “Satan’s Choice Theatre Virgins.”) In the meantime, here’s a bit of SCTV trivia…

Longtime SCTV security guard Gus Gustofferson is based (quite deftly, agree the spirits I’m channeling) on Joseph Franks, a.k.a. Franzee the Umpire, world leader of the Hellfire Club. Son of Lorne Greene, brother of Leon Redbone, Don Cheeseman, John Hiller, and Meredith Cheeseman, plus the rest of the Burlington Boys, including and Rob and Doug Ford (who inspired the names of the characters “Bob and Doug Mackenzie”).

Here’s Gus Gustofferson, security guard, in action, during sweeps week at SCTV:

(Given that there’s no evidence being presented here that isn’t circumstantial, this post and the others like this are exercises in hypothesizing for entertainment purposes only, whether or not the accounts presented correspond to real, not-fictional events.)

  1. The degree of which I admire your work is as significant as your own enthusiasm. Your visual presentation is refined, and the materials you’ve written are stylish. However, you seem to be worried about possibly delivering something that might be regarded to be questionable. I believe you’ll be able to deal with this issue swiftly.
